Wet weather and flooding continue to hamper the efforts of Police and Queensland rail to examine and clear the track at the site of the weekends’ freight train derailment that has closed the Flinders highway and shut down rail services on the line.
Qld Police video of the scene is available to view here.
Two of the three train drivers injured in the derailment have now been released from hospital and are nursing minor injuries.
The third is expected to be released later today.
Aurizon and Queensland Rail will continue to investigate.
In the meantime the Flinders Highway will remain closed between Julia Creek and Richmond.
Queensland Rail say it remains unclear how long the rail line will be closed.
