14 community groups and clubs across the Gregory electorate have received grants totalling nearly $400,000 from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF) under Round 98.
Member for Gregory Lachlan Millar has congratulated the organisations and says it’s a much needed boost for communities.
“As we continue to struggle under the impact of drought, all these organisations richly deserve support from the GCBF for their real contributions to the emotional, social and recreational fabric of our communities.”
“I hope we will see further grants in Round 99 when they are announced. We don’t have a large fund-raising base in our small towns so the GCBF grants are crucial to the aspirations of our clubs and community groups.”
Mr Millar says the GCBF grants range from $500 to $35,000.
Applications in Round 100 close on 28 February 2019. Further Information is available by clicking on https://www.justice.qld.gov.au/corporate/initiatives/community-grants
